BC1006 Pitch

Hello Again!

We have just recentally delivered a pitch to a panel of our group idea for the module BC1006. Due to the small number on the course I am working with Dean Smith and Dan Crossfield.

The idea that we have pitched to the panel was that we are going to make a profile documantary of the memories from the veterans of WW2

The contents of the film that we are going to include are:
  • An opening montage that will display the title of the program and will develop the mood of the film towards our audience.
  • The film will have a narrator that will introduce and end the film.
  • The main theme of the documentary is that we will have interviews with at least 5 WW2 Veterans who would provide with some interesting stories and reflections of the war.
  • In between interviews we will include montages of clips and original footage of the war itself. These footage's will also be useful as a overlay during the long interviews.
  • To end the documentary we will film the war memorials in Grove Park in W-S-M with the war veterans paying their respects. Over the top of this sequence we would have the song "We'll meet again" (sung by Vera Lynn) to make it very sentimental.

The Pitch itself went well due to we were allowed to go on and make the documentary. But there are room for improvements like:
  • Proof read all you written documents.
  • Make sure that all our I.T. Technology is working efficiently.
  • Rehearse the presentation beforehand and plan what to say before you say it.
